Extraordinary Ministers
Extraordinary Ministers of Holy Communion is a service ministry whose beginnings are from Christ's teachings at the Last Supper to serve one another. We are taught to share bread of life. Currently, St. Isaac's has about 80 active members in the ministry. We are asked to support the priests and deacons in distributing the precious body and blood of Christ. We can assist with distribution at Saturday/Sunday masses and if needed weekday masses. Eucharistic Ministers of Holy Communion also assist in bringing the Eucharist to our fellow parishioners who are "Homebound" or temporarily unable to attend church due to disability or illness. Several members also assist the priest and deacons to distribute Communion to the Catholic patients at both Care One and Brightview nursing homes.
The requirements for Extraordinary Ministers of Holy Communion include:
They must be an exemplary Catholic
They may be either male or female
They must be eighteen (18) years of age or older
They must have received all Sacraments of Initiation (Baptism, Confirmation and Holy Eucharist) and if married, they must have had a valid marriage in the Roman Catholic Church.
Ushers
The St. Isaac Jogues Ushers Ministry is comprised of parish men and women who provide assistance to the deacons, clergy, and congregation in preparation of the Eucharistic Celebration. Ministry responsibilities include greeting and escorting parishioners, distributing materials related to the service, collection of offerings/donations, facilitating the presentation of the Gifts, maintaining an orderly fashion in receiving Holy Communion, and distributing bulletins after the service.
The ministry is always looking for MEN, WOMEN, and/or YOUNG ADULTS to help support the weekend services. Please see any usher after mass.

The Sacristan Ministry
is dedicated to providing assistance to the priests and deacons in preparing the sacred vessels for use during Mass and for purifying and cleansing the vessels after Mass. The Sacristans also assist the priests in placing the missals and binders used during the Mass in the designated places and for returning them to the Sacristy after Mass.
To accomplish our mission the assigned deacon and extra-ordinary ministers of Holy Communion, who have volunteered to be sacristans, are assigned to weekend Masses in order to carry out the ministry functions.
Altar Society
Our goal is to create a welcoming environment and spiritual atmosphere in which we as a parish family can worship and praise the Lord. Our ministry is responsible for and maintains the following areas: Sanctuary, Chapel, Tabernacle Sacred Space, Baptismal Font Area, Halls, Gathering Space, Parlor, Work Sacristy, and Vesting Areas. We are accountable for the body of the church to create a setting in accordance with liturgical and seasonal themes to enhance the Congregations prayerful space.
We cooperate as a committee to work out a schedule that is flexible for everyone involved. We gather together for structural meetings 5 times a year. Helpful skills include thoughts in formulating new ideas for liturgical and seasonal themes, placing and maintaining plants and flowers, sewing altar linens, banners, and assembling displays. The Altar Society enables us to enhance our relationship with God while sharing our talents with the church.
